This year HALE TALENT is celebrating 32 years of being in business.  I hope to have work for everyone!  It is a pleasure representing you!

 ACTING FOR THE CAMERA WORKSHOPS

SATURDAY, MAY 16

LOCATION: Cali Sober, 1011 Veterans Blvd., Suite B, Metairie, LA 70005

Please note: This is a different location from previous Hale Talent Workshops.

Cali Sober is next to Sweet Things Donut Shop.

Do you realize that the moment you are cast in a production you become valuable property? If you can't be replaced without great cost to the production, the company will guard you as if you are royalty.

You can't access casting for a starring role directly.  You need a respected agent to submit you so that the production company can be assured that you are a professional actor.

Join top agent Rebecca Hale and master coach Veleka Gray at the next workshop on May 16 to learn the rules of the acting road and boost your career.

I strongly encourage you to purchase my most recent book TIPS FROM A TALENT AGENT:

PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR ACTORS.  It is available on Amazon, as well as at Blue Cypress Bookstore on Oak St., Barnes and Noble in Mandeville, and Octavia Bookstore in Uptown New Orleans.

"I wish I would have had this book when I started acting in New York years ago."  Dr. Cheryl Frederic, theatre teacher/actor/Ph.D. in Theatre from Florida State University.

"Your book is a gem.  It should be on every person's bookshelf in their home." SAG-AFTRA actor/theatre teacher/director  Rene J.F. Piazza

Stay tuned for info on upcoming workshops!

Actors, please let your agent know if you change phone numbers and email addresses.  Your agent has to be able to get in touch with you.

Actors, if you change your appearance (shorter hair; got rid of beard; different color of hair), please let me know.  When I submit your headshots, you need to look like the headshots.

Actors, DO NOT POST YOUR VIDEO AUDITIONS ON ANY PUBLIC SOCIAL MEDIA SITE.  If you do this, this could be the reason you are not booked for the job.
Also, DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS OF THE SET OR OTHER ACTORS WHEN YOU ARE WORKING ON A JOB.

An acting book that I highly recommend (one of the best acting books that I have read) is AUDITION! by Michael Shurtleff.  It is available in paperback at Barnes and Noble and you can also find it on Amazon  I hope you also will buy my book: TIPS FROM A TALENT AGENT.

Actors, most acting books will tell you that you should keep in contact with your agent often.  Every two or three weeks, you should email me to check in.  You are not bothering me.  If I haven't heard from you in months, I will assume you don't want any more acting work.

A GREAT GIFT FOR MUSIC LOVERS:

THE JAZZ CD "THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU" BY THE VERY TALENTED SINGER NANCY FISHER. You can listen to a sample of the CD on cdbaby.com.  This CD is a tribute to my late husband, musician RICHARD HALE.
To order the CD, send a check or money order for $22 ($20 for the CD and $2 for postage) to:  Hale Talent, LLC
      3220 N. Arnoult Road
      PMB 112
      Metairie, LA 70002
ENJOY!
Nancy's photo on the front cover of the CD was taken by CARLTON MICKLE, a very talented photographer I highly recommend. Carlton Mickle also was the photographer who took my photo for my new book.
